I came up yesterday to a mission conference in the DFW area. My good buddy Silas Bishop (SB) also came with me, and we are staying at his uncles house at night. It was an interesting night last night, and poor Silas couldn’t catch a break. Here is how it started.
The house we are staying at had a rat come in the attic, which happens from time to time in a house, and die. So there was a smell in one of the guest rooms. So we both had to stay in the same room on a trundle bed at night. Not realizing it at the time, my bed was positioned perfectly so that as I slept the air vent blows directly into my nostrils. So I started snoring. Silas, not being able to sleep anyways, decided to be diplomatic and rather than wake me up he moved to the couch in the family room to try to get some peace and quiet.
Well about 6am I woke up to a thumping noise in the wall. Thump……Thump. It happened every 28-30 seconds. I didn’t know what it was, but I guessed it has something to do with the water pipes, and not a mouse. But you never know. Regardless, the noise kept going for 10 minutes or so, so I decided to move into the family room. Which is where I found Silas. Of course I promptly woke him up at 6am to ask him if he moved because I was snoring. Which I was. And then I went to sleep in the floor next to him in the family room….and promptly started snoring again. He he he he he. That’ll teach him.
