I used to post a lot more posts like this one that had random sites, but I haven’t in a while. So I thought I would post a good random, funny, stupid, fun, important, whatever random sites posts. This one happens to be mostly free things for you. I’m sure you needed something to waste time on at work today…so here you go!

Private phone - Get a free phone number and voicemail. I don’t know why you would need this in real life, except to hide something from someone….but whatever.

Waker Upper - Send yourself a wake up call. You can even leave yourself a message.

MegaConverter - Wonderful math and science tool for converting almost ANYTHING — angles, area, force, length, mass –etc. Has link for teaching tips, and megacalculator.

WhatTheFont - helps you find a particular font based on a sample you upload. This could be VERY useful!!

GooSync - Keep your cell/pda/etc device calendar and your Google Calendar in sync.

Stikkit - Imagine post-it notes that understand what you’re saying.

30boxes - The say “Imaging Google Calendar, but with 10 times the awesome” But I haven’t tried it.

Of course there are all things Google (Calendar, Docs, Spreadsheets, E-Mail, etc.)

GIMP — GNU Image Manipulation Program - And since you most likely don’t know what GNU Manipulation means, think Photoshop…only free.

Skype - one of my personal favorites. Think IM on crack. IM, Phone calls (free to Skype, cheap ones to landlines) all around the world, Video Calls (free), etc. I love Skype! I even have it on my mobile phone.

Wordpress -only the best blogging software in the world; and free to boot!
